 Item — Box: 1
Identifier: MSS P 3289 Series 1 Item 89

Scope and Contents

Reconstruction of an old four-span, through Pratt Truss bridge over the Green River, Utah on the Rio Grande Western. According to chief engineer Bridge Book, masonry here constructed by Co. Forces in 1884 in 1900 Edgemoor Bridge Co. built and erected new spans from the east to replace the tree east spans but retaining the old span at the west end. The latter span was removed in 1911 and installed as BR 306A over the Rio Grande River on the Creede Branch. All spans were through Pratt Trusses, Creede Branch. A new heavier steel bridge, erected in August 1931 under AFE 4832, replaced the bridge shown in this view.
