Moments of rebellion amongst LDS girls / Ellen Lloyd, 2006
Scope and Contents note
forms of rebellion among Mormon girls and then tries to define what constitutes rebellion. Even though all her accounts come from Mormon girls, they vary in severity and in degree of rebellion. Lloyd gives credit to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' emphasis on the family as the reason why none of these girls' rebellions were too severe or harmful in nature. She then goes on to analyze the role that males played in each of her informant's stories. Finally, Lloyd discusses commonalities and differences found in each account of rebellion. Created by Ellen Lloyd in Winter 2006 when she was enrolled in Eric Eliason's English 391 class in winter 2006.
