Discusses food preparation as a part of developing and maintaining family relationships. Explains that marriage is a time for redefining food perceptions and blending two family food backgrounds. Describes that the father's influence on food perceptions in a family is mainly manifest in the mother preparing foods her spouse likes. Discusses differences in weekday, weekend, and Sunday eating habits. Mentions how the family's economic status affects food patterns.
