Includes interviews with eleven student athletes from Brigham Young University about their memorable experiences in sports. Identifies three major elements found in these narratives: learning a personal lesson such as the value of hard work, players' sense of loyalty for their team, and desire for to learn and improve. Mentions the satisfaction athletes feel at overcoming obstacles of various kinds. Includes personal narratives about experiences with track, football, volleyball, swimming, basketball, golf, and soccer. Created by David E. Headrick while he was enrolled in Jill Terry Rudy's English 391 class during Winter Semester 2003.
