Fulkerson briefly describes defining characteristics of the missionary folk group within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He compares personal narratives about errant missionary behavior which he found in the folklore archives of Brigham Young University's Special Collections. He gives an in-depth discussion of the folkloric elements of a story cycle that involves missionaries leaving their designated areas to go on vacation. Created by Noah Fulkerson while he was enrolled in Eric Eliason's English 391 class during fall semester 2005.
