Biographical History

Herman A. Teichert (1887-1982) was a farmer and rancher in Idaho and Wyoming. He was also the husband of painter Minerva Kohlhepp Teichert.

Herman Adolph Teichert was born in American Falls, Idaho, on August 26, 1887. In 1917, he was drafted to fight in World War I. Prior to his leaving, he married Minerva Bernetta Kohlhepp on September 15, 1917. Together, they had five children, four sons and one daughter. The family lived mostly in Idaho, but spent some time in Wyoming, with Herman making a living as a farmer and rancher. Teichert died November 25, 1982, in Montpelier, Idaho.
