LDS engagement stories at or near temples / Matthew Crossley, 2003 April 3

 Item — Box: 272, Folder: 7
Identifier: FA 1 Item 3024

Scope and Contents note

Crossley collects stories involving members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who propose to their future spouses on temple grounds. He believes that proposing on temple grounds is popular because it symbolizes eternal commitment, because it seems to increase divine approval, because it indicates historical and spiritual rootedness in a place, because it is an aesthetic setting, and because it provides an ideal and important beginning for the rest of the couple's lives. Created by Matthew Crossley when he was enrolled in Eric Eliason's English 368 course in Winter 2003.
