Biographical / Historical

John Avery Collett Crew was born on November 22, 1919 in Washington to Henry Miles Collett and Anna Marie Bartak. He married Doris Elaine Simpson on September 27, 1942 in Reno, Nevada. John was stationed on the submarine USS Tunny during World War II. He also served in the Korean War. He died on January 3, 2002 in California.

Doris Elaine Simpson Crew was born on February 15, 1921 in Sacramento, California to Claude St. Clair Simpson and Leona Rae Kipp. She married John Avery Collett Crew on September 27, 1942 in Reno, Nevada. Doris passed away on May 9, 2016 in Rosevile, California.
