Doran C. Lewis papers, 1943-1945, approximately 2001
Scope and Contents
Materials contain a brief memoir of Lewis's spiritual experiences before and during World War II and a photocopied newspaper clipping entitled "Two Brothers Fly Side by Side in Attacks on Japan" which is about Oren and Doran Lewis as they served in the same flight crew in the Pacific Theater. Also included is the chapter from Lewis's autobiography describing his wartime experiences and training. Contains photographs of Lewis, with his brothers, and of church services and baptisms in the Pacific. Contains more photocopied photographs of Lewis's unit, his brother, and newspaper clippings featuring the two brothers. Dated 1943-1945 and approximately 2001.
