Material contains a memoir of Lisa Snyder regarding her service in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps Reserves during the Iraq War. Describes her service on the U.S.S. Bonamer Chard, U.S.S. Ethics, and U.S.S. Bellowood. Talks about her two duty stations in Okinawa, Japan and the Middle East. Talks about different humanitarian missions she participated in in the Philippines and the different diseases she dealt with as a nurse. Also talks about a future mission she'll be involved with called the Expedition Area Strike Groups. Describes what life is like for a female in the U.S. Navy and the difficulty of meeting people. Finally discusses her decision to be a nurse and to join the U.S. Navy, and the effect of those descisions on her life. Dated June 23, 2004.
