Scope and Contents
Material contains a memoir and letters that tells the story of a Hoa Nguyen and her struggles with life after the war and raising her two children. Tells how Nguyen befriended an American soldier during the Vietnam War and had a child with him, although the soldier did not learn about the child until much later. Recounts that the child, Phuong Thao, became a popular singer in Vietnam. Dated 1992-2007.
