Scope and Contents

Material contains papers relating to the military service of Larry Richard Johnson as a Technical Observer on a OV-1A Mohawk during the Vietnam War. File contains a floppy disk, a photograph of Johnson, a letter from a Vietnamese soldier (in Vietnamese, with an English translation) concerning Johnson's plane being shot down, as well as two copies of an account titled "The Toss of a Coin," that relates an experience Johnson had in which his plane was shot down. A much more detailed account of the same experience, as well as some other thoughts/memories is also included. A postcard showing several Mohawks is included, as well as photographs and photocopies of Johnson's certificates for the Air Medal and Purple Heart. Dated 1966-2003.
