General note
Caption on item: "Majestic suspension spans form a steel frame for the San Francisco skyline in this photograph. The San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge has gained wide-spread fame as the longest suspension bridge in the country. Highlights form an interesting effect on the water of the Bay as it ripples underneath the bridge, the super-structure of which was constructed by the American Bridge Company for its sister United States Steel subsidiary, Columbia Steel Company."
