Caption on item: "Placid waters of the bay are illuminated by lights of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge in this night scene. The graceful suspension spans over the Bay Bridge are silhouetted against the San Francisco skyline and its illumination. This suspension bridge, the longest of its kind in the country, was erected by American Bridge Company, a subsidiary of United States Steel Corporation. It is the connecting link between San Francisco and the East Bay."
