Caption on item: "Steel workers enjoy their food. Hot meals are available to steel workers in this restaurant at the Pittsburg, California, Plant of Columbia Steel Company, far Western subsidiary of United States Steel Corporation. Constructed of brick and steel, this building is equipped with fluorescent lighting with a floor of hard dense concrete. A modern kitchen is behind the service bar. All food is prepared in this kitchen and some of it is transported in steel tables to another restaurant located in the Administration Building and available to office workers."
