General note

Caption on item: "Noon whistle finds this group of Wire Rope Mill employees enjoying a great American past-time – lunch. They are shown in a mill at the Pittsburg, California, Plant of Columbia Steel Company, Pacific Coast subsidiary of United States Steel Corporation. These men prefer to bring their own lunches to work and thus tables are available to them. Others enjoy their lunch in the Company’s plant restaurant, which serves a variety of warm dishes."
