Caption on item: "Modern material handling methods are used at the Pittsburg, Calif., Plant of Columbia Steel Company, a United States Steel subsidiary. Lawrence Jones, a lift truck operator, is shown raising a pallet-load of fibre nail boxes into storage space in the Nail Mill. The fibre boxes palletize easily and save considerable storage space in both the Nail Mill and in the jobbers’ warehouses."
