Caption on item: "Fibre nails boxes are capped in this operation in the Nail Mill at Columbia Steel Company’s Pittsburg, Calif., Plant. Ismael A. Zainos is shown putting the tops on the fibre boxes as they are conveyorized his way from the weighing station. These tops can be replaced at construction jobs to protect the nails from dirt and weather. The boxes are stenciled with United States Steel’s trademark, 'USS'."
