General note

Caption on item: "Cleaned nails move down a shaker table and through chutes into fibre boxes used for packaging nails at the Pittsburg, Calif., Plant of Columbia Steel Company, a U.S. Steel subsidiary. Ramon Garcia is shown moving a fibre box under a chute where it will be held in place by a steel door. The nails are transferred from nail-making machines to the far end of a rumbler machine. The nails remain in the rumbler for about one-half hour during which they are cleaned and remaining burrs are removed. Above and to the right of Garcia’s head can be seen a long conveyor line of empty fibre boxes waiting to be filled with nails."
