Caption on item: "Stapled fibre boxes are used for packaging nails at the Pittsburg, Calif., Plant of Columbia Steel Company, a United States Steel subsidiary. Sal DiMercurio is shown operating an automatic stapler machine. He swings the carton around to staple it on all four sides. The boxes leave this assembly station and are conveyorized to a point in the nail mill where they are filled with nails."
