Caption on item: "Coal Mine,", "A loading machine in operation. Roof bolting proper rock-dusting and an adequate supply of fresh air at the working face assure safer and healthier working conditions," and "A Joy 10-RU cutting machine equipped with a CD-40 hydraulic drill and automatic bug duster. This type of equipment eliminates the necessity for men to work in the immediate face area and greatly increases the safety of this operation."
