Materials include a written history detailing Elwin Hurd Elliot's service in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a musician. He writes mostly of his experiences being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He mentions being present aboard the U.S.S. Saratoga, "Sara," when a Kamikaze attack came on them at the Battle of Iwo Jima. He also spends time speaking of a good friend he met through the war and spent time with at home in Utah. Dated approximately 2001.
