Scope and Contents

Contains transcripts of three emails, two in correspondence with an "Ylena Gavrilova," and one with a "Vera Zhura Vleva," both Russian, on research for Sears' book, "the Silence of God." Also contains business cards and notes on contact information for other people, as well.

Biographical History

From the Collection:

Gale Sears is an author of historical fiction who currently lives in Sandy, Utah.

Born in Lake Tahoe, California, and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Gale Sears recieved a BA in Playwriting from Brigham Young University, and an MA in Theater Arts from the University of Minnesota. Primarily a writer of historical fiction, Gale Sears’ work often features female protagonists who are converted to Mormonism and continue to affirm their faith despite trying circumstances, such as the Russian Revolution, World War I, or Influenza Pandemic. Gale Sears is the winner of several Whitney Awards for excellence in Mormon Literature. She currently lives in Sandy, Utah with her husband, George, and her children, Shawn and Chandler.
