Scope and Contents
Materials contain a detailed memoir describing Rex Davis Bray's training and military experiences during World War II. Includes accounts of his work as a surveyor, serving in the Philippines, the Japanese invasion at Mindanao, and his being a prisoner of the Japanese for three years. Also includes postcards sent by Bray to his family during his detainment, and photocopied photographs of the Ashio copper mine prison camp in Japan. Contains a photocopy of a newspaper article citing Bray's liberation from the prison camp, complete with a photograph of him in military dress. Dated 1998.
