Scope and Contents note

Griffin interviewed and recorded the ways that her peers remember being threatened to behave as a child. Included are stories of parents exaggerating dangers to encourage behavior, parents threatening to "give" the child away to someone else, and parents threatening to take away privileges as a way to motivate good behavior. Project was created for Dr. Thursby's English 495 course taught at Brigham Young University in 1999.
