Scope and Contents

Materials contain a brief military history of Kenneth Goodrich regarding his service in the U.S. Army during World War II in the black engineer battalion. Also contains a letter to Goodrich's mother written by James Blok, an Army Chaplain that was influenced by Goodrich. Includes photocopied photographs and a program of a Latter-day Saint servicemen's conference and a photograph of Goodrich. Contains a photocopied newspaper, the Saipan Beacon, with the headline being "Russia Declares War on Japan!". Dated 1941-1945 and approximately 2000.
