Materials contain a memoir detailing Lyman Balls’ military service that describes his responsibilities held at training camp. Includes an account of persecutions suffered due to his being the only crew member of his faith. Contains Balls’ military enlistment record, honorary discharge papers, and letter of recognition issued by the United States government upon his death. Also includes a map showing the location of military camps at which Balls was stationed. Dated 1917-1919 and approximately 1988.
