Scope and Contents

Contains exam papers written by Paul R. Nielsen on subjects of Latin American History. He writes on comparisons of Quixote and Hamlet, sentence structures in the Spanish language, and Spanish literature. There are also labeled maps of South America. Also includes works from some other classes, like an essay title "Guns or Books" for a political science class. There is an assessment of the LDS Business College as well. Finally, this series includes the grades, test scores, and graduation programs from the educations of Nielsen's children, Peter and Julie Anne. Dated circa 1967-2002.

Biographical History

Paul R. Nielsen (born 1944) is a Mormon civil servant in Murray, Utah.

Paul R. Nielsen was born July 3, 1944. His parents names are Arthur H. and Vera Richards Nielsen. He married a woman named Alicia in 1978 and had two children with her, Julie Anne and Peter. Alicia also had a son from a previous relationship, named Victor Falcon. Paul worked in the Defense Department as a Test Coordinator for the ASVAB test (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). In this job, he worked with school administrators, recruiting services, and the Office of Personnel Management to schedule over 212 tests per year for 23 years. After several marital and family problems arose, Paul and Alicia divorced in 1996. He then met Gloria Venegas Torres Nielsen and they were married on November 3, 2001. Gloria was previously married to man named Camilo Torres from 1966-1999. They had four children, of which Paul is their stepfather. Paul is retired, and he and Gloria currently reside in Murray, Utah.
