Biographical / Historical
Calvin Delos McOmber, Jr., was born April 11, 1910, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Calvin Delos McOmber and Achsah Stout. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Czechoslovakia from 1934 to 1937. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Czechoslovakia from 1934 to 1937. In 1940, he graduated from the University of Utah. Calvin married Frances Brodil on April 30, 1937, in Salt Lake City. Calvin later served in the institute and seminary programs in Idaho for the church. He also served in a stake presidency, and as a stake patriarch. He served in the Idaho Falls temple presidency in 1975. Calvin died November 4, 1980, in Yolo, California.
