Scope and Contents note
Materials contain a military history of John E. Olson regarding his service in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II from 1943-1946. Recalls the good Mormon friends that he made and talks about avoiding the Battle of the Bulge because of his furlough. Also talks about his assignment near Worms, Germany, celebrations at the end of the war, preparing to leave for the Pacific Theater, and placement and activities in Vienna. Also includes several photocopied photographs of John in uniform, John and his wife, Vienna and the members of the church, and a military separation record. Dated 1943-1997.
