Materials contain the memoir of Donald Ward Petersen regarding his service in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II from 1942-1945. Account describes training, combat experiences, as well as the experience of being shot down and taken prisoner of war in Germany. Discusses his experiences in the POW camp and liberation. Finally talks about meeting his wife at a dance, raising nine children, and managing a hay mill. Dated February 17, 2002.
