Materials contain a transcribed interview with Calvin Lamont Reynolds regarding his service in the U.S. Army during World War II. Describes entering the Army, basic training and radio training, and service in England. Describes purposely failing A-20 training so he would be sent to Denver for artillery training, where he could see his wife. Sailed to England. Discusses living conditions in England. Describes the difficulty of attending church meetings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mentions D-day activity while in England. Describes seeing Utah Beach three or four weeks after the battle. Recalls having South Pacific training in Belgium, but being shipped home soon after. Relates the experience of meeting his wife when he arrived home. Dated April 18, 2004.
