Scope and Contents note
Materials contain an oral history of Strong's service as director of mail in the U.S. Army during World War II. He included pictures, two newspaper clippings, certificate of induction and letter transferring him to ground forces instead of the Air Corps. In the interview, talks about the brutality of war. Recounts that his division took 80,000 German prisoners and 25 surrendered to him personally. Dated approximately 1943, 2004.
