Scope and Contents

Materials contain an audiocassette and the transcribed interview with David W. Meyer, who served with the U.S. Army Pictoral Service during World War II. Meyer describes his training at Paramount Studios in Astoria, New York, where he learned a variety of photographic techniques. Describes a conference held in Paris, for which he was assigned to invite Hugh B. Brown. Dated June 2001. Also contains Paris Servicemen's Group history, with a chronology, roster, and photographs and captions from the European Theater Conference. These printouts note that the information comes from the journals of David W. Meyer.
