Derek Jensen is a student in the 2004 folklife field schoo, Fruits of Their Labors: The Orchards in Utah Valley. He is a curator in L. Tom Perry Special Collections. He grew up in Orem, Utah where he currently resides.

Linda Richardson Ash is the co-owner of Verd's fruit stand. The fruit stand was started by her parents when she was young and she lived in the orchard by the stand located on North State Street in Orem, Utah. That property no longer belongs to the family.
