Materials contain papers regarding Neil L. Davis' service in the U.S. Army during World War II. Includes photocopied photographs, photocopied newspaper articles, original typewritten letters, photocopied typewritten letters, original photographs, original newspaper article, photocopied handwritten letter. In his memoir he explains his work observing and relaying artillery impacts from forward observation points to artillery troops firing from their positions on the front lines. Several typewritten letters chronicle his recovery in Army Medical Centers after he was wounded. Photocopied newspaper articles share some details of Davis' personal life before and after his time in the service. Dated 1926-2001.
