Scope and Contents

Marianne Hales collected personal narratives about the curse of Macbeth as told by Brigham Young University theatre students. Included are stories about accidents that occured when the name "Macbeth" was spoken in a theatre, injuries sustained by cast and crew members during productions of Macbeth, and miscellaneous other theatre superstitions. Project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University during Fall semester 1994.
