Biographical History

Frank Donald Bailey was born on November 26, 1922, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1942 and was trained as a navigator and bombardier. He was sent to Europe. In 1944, his plane was shot down over Germany and he became a prisoner of war until the end of the war. After returning home, he married and received a college degree in journalism. He had six children. He served as campaign manager for Orrin Hatch and as mission president of the Ohio Columbus Mission. He passed away on October 4, 2014.
