Autograph letter, from Thomas L. Kane, all names have been intentionally withheld, regards some intensely private business conducted by Thomas L. Kane in Chicago, pieced together with tape, envelope (included) labeled (in Elizabeth Dennistoun Wood Kane’s hand) “ May 1880. Pieces of copies of a letter and its sequel, that were stolen from Tom, at Chicago. These scraps he had hidden in the lining of his trunk. Fortunately what was stolen was unsigned,” 2 pp., 27/28-29 May 1880.
