Biographical History

Ivan M. Van Leuven was born in Grover, Wyoming and moved to Baker, Oregon at age nine. He worked for Boeing as a drill press operator until he joined the Navy in 1943. He was a radar operator on the USS Pritchett. After his discharge in 1946, he served a mission in the Netherlands. Following his mission, he was called to the Korean War in 1950, after which he returned to Utah Valley and worked for Geneva Steel. He married in 1953 and had three children. He passed away in 2011.
