Biographical History

Harriet Amelia Kane (1854-1896) was a Philadelphia physician and Presbyterian.

The first child of Thomas L. Kane and Elizabeth Wood Kane, Harriet was born in Philadelphia in 1854. Harriet accompanied her parents in the founding of Kane, Pennsylvania. With her mother she attended the Philadelphia Woman's Medical College in the early 1880s and graduated as a Physician. Harriet died while leading a prayer meeting in a Presbyterian church in 1896.
