Materials include an unsigned letter addressed to John K. Kane's cousin Oliver Grenville Kane, in which the author says they support the union of Jane Duval Leiper and John K. Kane (referred to as "Johnny"). The author says she has known Jane's mother for many years and knows Jane to be an upstanding young woman. No date on item. Dated approximately 1819.
