Letter from Hooper, Washington, to Thomas L. Kane, Kane, he believes that Congress and the President "will hesitate before they make into a law the aggressive bill proposed," J. T. Caine came from Utah, Brigham Young just returned from Southern Utah. Dated April 18, 1870.
