Letter from Grant, Salt Lake, to Thomas L. Kane, answering Thomas L. Kane's questions about the land of Utah, in regards to building railroads, sends Memorial to the Honorable Jefferson Davis, not there, trouble with the Indians, Thomas L. Kane has had "other restoratives" which have benefitted him as much as mountain air. Dated December 31, 1853.
