Scope and Contents note

Typescript of letter from Bernhisel to Kane, regrets that Kane turned down the proposal to be the delegate from Utah, has spoken to the President about Brigham Young's reappointment as governor, thinks that Colonel Steptoe will be appointed. Dated January 6, 1855.
