Scope and Contents note

Letter from John M. Bernhisel, Washington, to Thomas L. Kane, saying that he addressed a note to President Millard Fillmore after Kane sent him the draft of it. No allegations have been made yet, and [Jedediah M.] Grant will see Kane when the allegations are made. Dated December 11, 1851.
