William Appleby letter to Thomas L. Kane, 1848 June 20
Scope and Contents note
Letter from Appleby, Recklesstown, New Jersey, to Kane, Philadelphia, an article in the "League" about an Indian attack on Salt Lake is probably not true, they've named a town located near the main camp at Winter Quarters Kanesville, he is compiling a history for the Church, no news yet of Wilford Woodruff or Orson Pratt, gives him a list of people from Philadelphia who have contributed to the Church. Dated June 20, 1848.
