Elizabeth Wood Kane journal, 1898
Scope and Contents
Journal written by Elizabeth Wood Kane documenting her daily activites, worries about the Spanish-American War, and her work for the Woman's Christian Temperence Union. She writes that the Temperence Union asked her if she would accept the nomination of state superintendent if they created a department of non-alcoholic medication. She documents her travels to New York, New York; Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; Rockport, Maine; and Chautaugua, New York. Journal dated between January 1, 1898 through December 31, 1898.
