Elizabeth Wood Kane travel diary, 1872-1873
Scope and Contents
Journal written by Elizabeth Wood Kane containing her thoughts and observations about her trip to Utah. The trip included stops in Salt Lake City, Provo, Kanosh, Nephi, Cover Creek Fort, Beaver, Parowan, and finally St. George, with details about the individuals she met throughout the trip, including Brigham Young and Eliza R. Snow (referred to in the journal as Eliza Young). Out of 198 pages, only 114 are written on. Journal entries date from November 19, 1872 to March 9, 1873. Dated 1872-1873.
