Letter from Elizabeth Wood Kane, written from New York, to Thomas L. Kane. She is afraid he will only experience disappointment in Washington, D.C. There is a newspaper clipping (quoting Tribune articles from February 18th and 19th.) inside the letter about the lawsuit against Daniel Drew, Treasurer of the Erie Railroad Co. Letter is dated February 14, 1868.
